For life’s precious moments let us assist you in hosting your special day at the Pearl. Your reception should be the most memorable day of your life and we can make it happen.

The Pearl provides several attractive floor plan ideas; to create an intimate space for a small wedding or accommodating up to 180 people for dining and dancing.  We would love to listen to your ideas and desires and work with you to customize our space to fit your special desires. Let us create the wedding of your dreams. We are close to downtown Portsmouth, but miles away from the ordinary.

WEDDING CEREMONIES

The Pearl offers a unique indoor setting for your wedding ceremony. The building has the architectural features of a church and is a perfect place for a non-denominational or non-traditional wedding or civil union ceremony. The floor plan can be customized to fit your number of guests, with our without an traditional aisle.

CORPORATE PARTIES

The Pearl is the perfect place for hosting company events, fundraisers and performances. We pride ourselves in providing a variety seating arrangements to create the perfect mood for your company’s event. The Pearl offers the flexibility to create a formal style dinner arrangement with elegant dining service to a simple buffet-style lunch or dinner. For a more relaxed atmosphere, we offer cocktail-style seating at smaller tables to allow your guests to mingle while enjoying a wide array of creative hors d’oeuvres served throughout the party.

The Pearl’s downtown location is perfect for a wide array of public events. The building, being a former curch, has fabulous qcoustics. Please call to discuss your needs… we’re happy to customize our space to fit your show or event.

Wedding Reception, Bar Mitzvah, Other Large Party: Starting at $1500

  • 5 hour function plus setup and cleanup time
  • Additional event time available

Small Party, Gala, Corporate Party: Starting at $700

  • Available Sundays through Thursdays, day or evenings
  • 4 hour function plus setup and cleanup time
  • Additional event time available

Wedding Ceremony: Starting at $500

  • 2 hour ceremony time, plus 1 hour decorating time, 1 hour rehearsal
  • Additional event time available

Musical Performance, Art Show, Auction, Etc.:
Starting at $300

  • Available Sundays through Thursdays, day or evenings
  • 3 hour function plus setup and cleanup time; no food served
  • Additional event time available

BAR SERVICE

New Hampshire law requires a licensed bartender to serve all alcohol beverages. The Pearl offers two options for bar service. Mahalos Catering (207-439-3344) offers a complete bar service including glasses, mixers, etc. and bartender for $300. In addition, they supply the alcohol of your choice as an open or cash bar. Boston's Best Bartending Service (781-246-2227) supplies licensed bartenders at $30/hour plus a small per person supply charge. You may purchase and supply your own alcohol for them to serve.

LINENS/DISHES

Our complete packages include dishes, glassware, flatware and linens. If you choose to bring your own caterer, The Pearl will supply linen, dishes and flatware starting at $10 per person, with choice of linen colors.

HALL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Cocktail party/standing capacity: 200
  • Dinner seating: up to 180 with space for a dance floor. The space is intimate enough for small gatherings.
  • Sizes: 35x40 main floor, 35x15 mezzanine, 15x12 balcony, 35x10 lobby
  • The hall has heat/air conditioning and ceiling fans, a large catering kitchen, and handicapped accessible restrooms. The hall is on the second floor of the building.
  • Tables and chairs are included in all hall rentals.
  • The Pearl only books one event per day, allowing you to choose the time for your event.
  • A business parking lot across the street is available on evening and weekends; the Portsmouth public garage is two blocks away.
